Chapter 23 Halloween

That day, as soon as Ishikawa Akira returned home, Huimei came to his door.

"Brother Ming, let's go out and play!" Huimei blinked her big eyes, full of anticipation.

"Go out and play? Where to?" Ishikawa Akira was a little surprised because Huimei rarely asked him to go out with her before.

"Today is Halloween. Everyone should dress up as ghosts. Let's go out and play together!" Huimei said with pleading eyes.

Grandma Fujiwara is too old to participate in these activities for young people, so she cannot go out with Huimei. Huimei can only find Ishikawa Akira.

"Since you are so sincere, okay!" Ishikawa Akira nodded with a smile.

"Yeah!" Huimei smiled happily: "Brother Ming, I'll come see you again in the evening."

Ishikawa Akira was strolling around enjoying the scenery which was different from usual, and from time to time he looked at the children whizzing by in the distance. Huimei was smiling brightly inside.

After a while, Huimei ran over from the other side of the street with two rainbow lollipops in her hands.

"Brother Ming, have some candy!" Huimei handed a lollipop to Ishikawa Akira, while her other hand was already peeling off the candy wrapper.

"What a beautiful lollipop. Where did you get it?" Ishikawa Akira asked casually after taking the lollipop.

"Behind the street, there is an old lady dressed as a witch. She said that any child who has a dream can get a lollipop."

"I said I have a younger brother who is also a dreamer, and he gave me two lollipops. Am I smart?" Huimei said proudly.

"Wait, an old lady dressed as a witch?" Ishikawa Akira's face changed and he thought of something.

Seeing Huimei putting the lollipop into her mouth, he snatched the lollipop away from her.

"Brother Ming, I've already given you a lollipop, you can't be so greedy!" Huimei was a little dissatisfied and jumped up to grab the lollipop.

"You can't eat this lollipop!" Ishikawa Akira said seriously, "Emi, I'll bring you a pack of lollipops tomorrow, so don't eat this one!"

"Why?"

"Just trust me!" Ishikawa Ming threw two lollipops into the trash can: "Emi, do you remember where that old lady is?"

"There." Huimei pointed in a direction and Ishikawa Akira hurriedly ran in that direction.

Huimei pursed her lips and didn't ask any more questions obediently.

Da Gu, wearing a pumpkin head, rushed past the children and surrounded a house: "If you don't give us candy, we will play pranks!" The children's innocent voices rang out, the door of the house opened, and a middle-aged woman looked at the child in front of her with a smile: "Wow, what a cute little devil!"

The children left the house with laughter and joy. Dagu ran on the street with the children, with a hearty laugh on his face.

"Dagu!" Lina, dressed in strange clothes, stopped Dagu: "We are not here to play!"

Da Gu took off the pumpkin head and said with a smile: "You don't know this, playing with children is also part of the investigation!"

Lina felt that there was something wrong with what Dagu said, but she couldn't figure out what the problem was.

"Wow, the colorful lollipops are so delicious! Where did you get them?" It turned out to be the children who had just played with Dagu, and now each of them had a lollipop.

The two children licked their lollipops and pointed Dagu in a direction.

"Okay, I'll go get one too." Dagu excitedly ran in the direction the children pointed.

"Ah? Is this also part of the investigation?" Lina finally knew what the problem was and said speechlessly.

On one side of the road, a grandmother dressed in witch costume said with a sinister look on her face: "Children with dreams, come here quickly. If you have many dreams, I will give you a lot of candies as a reward!"

Tempted by candy, the children flocked to the witch.

"I want a lollipop too!" Dagu raised his right hand and shouted.

"I only give it to children," the witch replied.

"Ah, that's disgusting! It's only for children!" Dagu took off the pumpkin head in disappointment and was about to leave. Suddenly, when he turned around, he saw that there was no shadow of the witch in the mirror.

Dagu looked at the witch in doubt and confirmed in the mirror.

The witch seemed to have sensed Dagu's scrutinizing gaze and said to the children, "Okay, that's all for today. Get out of the way, get out of the way!"

After saying that, he pushed the cart and left.

The children dispersed in disappointment.

Da Gu looked at the witch who was about to leave, a hint of determination flashed in his eyes, and he chased after the witch.

"Big sister, here's one for you!" A little girl held up a lollipop and handed it to Lina.

"I told her that my brother had many dreams, and she gave me another one!" the little girl smiled happily.

"Won't your brother be sad?" Lina asked tentatively.

"Because my sister is beautiful."

"Ah, you speak so honestly." Lina was overjoyed by the little girl's praise and raised her hand to touch the girl's head.

"Hey, where did Dagu go?" I got the lollipop and was about to tear open the candy wrapper when I suddenly thought of Dagu. I looked everywhere for him but couldn't find him.

"Forget it, let's eat the lollipop first!" Lina had a smile on her face and was about to put the lollipop into her mouth when suddenly, a voice sounded in her ear.

"If I were you, I wouldn't touch this lollipop." Lina turned around and saw a man with makeup and clothes that looked like a vampire.

"Who are you?" Lina asked warily.

"I'm Dagu's friend." The vampire approached and said, "If I'm not mistaken, you guys are here on a mission tonight!"

"So what?" Lina didn't completely believe in the vampire, and her eyes were still vigilant.
