Chapter 152 The Mystery of Time! The End of Runeland!

Chapter 152 The Mystery of Time! The End of Runeland!

Watching the Kingdom of Ekathia disappear completely in the picture, all the people on this land were swallowed up by the void from the abyss, and the cracks in the earth also erased all traces of this country. All the audience were stunned!

Even though everyone had already predicted in the film through various hints, such as the fanatical Ekathia wizard and Jax's psychology, that bad things would happen in this war.

However, they never expected that what the Ekassia people summoned was not an ordinary disaster, but the end of the world!

A doomsday that could destroy the world!

——"What the hell!! What on earth did the Ekassia people summon?"

——"Are these tentacle monsters? They look really disgusting!"

——"It feels like those indescribable things in the Cthulhu mythology!"

——"Holy crap!! Even the Ascended from Shurima can't defeat this thing?"

——"What exactly are the voids? Do they come from underground?"

Looking at the void creatures twisting and devouring all living things on the battlefield, the audience can easily associate them with the things in the Cthulhu mythology.

And the Icathians obviously didn't figure it out, or they had never studied the power of the void at all!

Perhaps those Ekathian mages who discovered the void were contaminated the moment they came into contact with it. They thought they could control the power of the void, but they didn't know that they had become slaves of the void!
Almost in an instant, the Kingdom of Icathia disappeared. Even after a thousand years under the rule of the Shurima Empire, this ancient civilization still survived.

But under the void, all traces of human existence on this land have disappeared!

Even the god-warriors of Shurima were disintegrated and devoured by this dark and evil force.

They wanted to destroy the tent that summoned the void, but were blocked outside by the ignorant Ekassia people. In the end, everything ceased to exist.

When Jax rushed over, there was only the last torch staff burning with a faint flame.

This is the only research the Icathians have done on the void. In order to contain the void, they used elemental fire to bring the void out from the depths of the earthquake fissures in Saabra.

Perhaps, this faint elemental fire is the last glimmer of hope against the void!

This brave warrior of Icathia fled the land, not out of cowardice, but to keep hope!
This disaster caused Jax to lose his hometown and his goal. The Void destroyed his homeland, and he became a wanderer, traveling across the known world and to places beyond the map.

Because of his possession of the Eternal Flame, Jax's lifespan was extended, even beyond the expectations of their long-lived group.

However, the further he moved from Icathia, the weaker the flame became, until it looked as if it might go out forever at any moment.

Jax's grim determination makes him realize that he can't escape his past. He needs to return to his duty and fight for it.

Although the last few surviving Ascendants stopped the Void's advance, its unique threat remains.

For the next several hundred years, Jax wandered, a homeless warrior, searching for someone strong enough to rebuild the Kohari and fight alongside him against the coming darkness.

Though he has fought countless battles against opponents of great skill, courage, and strength, none has yet proven to Jax that he has what it takes to face the coming darkness head on.

The fall of Icathia leaves Jax filled with doubts, but one thing is certain: when the final battle comes, Jax will face the Void.

Even if he was alone. …

And just when the void was released onto the battlefield.

On the other side, in the capital of Ecathia which has not fallen yet.

These residents in the capital were even more desperate than the soldiers on the battlefield. The soldiers could still flee everywhere, although they could not avoid the fate of being swallowed by the void in the end.

But the Ekassia people in the capital had nowhere to escape!
The earth shook, walls collapsed, and huge cracks appeared in the ground, swallowing up the capital city bit by bit. Jilan wanted to escape from the capital, but everyone in the capital was trapped!
Such a terrifying thing should never appear in this world or that world. It burst out from deep underground, driving the terrified crowd in front of it.

Seeing hundreds of thousands of innocent people about to die, in despair, Kiran thought of his research, the research on "time".

Time is the one constant that even the god-warriors of Shurima cannot escape, and it turns out that the Void has no way of dealing with it either.

In the final moments before the city disappeared, Kieran tried to get as many people as possible to take refuge in his tower, and then he did the impossible.

He removed the entire building from time!!!
With his legs limp and his strength exhausted, Kiran collapsed on the cold floor, looking at the motionless figures around him.

The void was stopped, but only within the wall—outside, the land where Icathia had once stood was empty.

……

——"Holy crap!! Is this elemental mage so awesome?"

——"I knew there was a reason why the film specifically described him!"

——"He has mastered the power of time, which is even more powerful than the Ascendants!"

——"Oh my god! I was so nervous just now. If he fails, all these people will die!"

When Kiran used time magic, the audience looked at the runes in his hands and they were extremely nervous. Fortunately, he succeeded in the end!

This gifted elemental mage may not have fully mastered time, but he has already comprehended the mystery of the nature of time.

Now, his tower is outside of time. The void can swallow all of Icathia, but it cannot break through his walls.

However, Kiran did not fully master time after all. He spent decades trying to understand the mysteries of time and causality.

He seemed to be the only person in the tower who could move freely back and forth within this anomaly, and he had no idea how he had created it. These people had indeed been saved. But he just couldn't figure out how to reverse the process, to actually bring them back to life.

Through deep meditation and the use of complex tools he created, he began to divine the threads that connected the past and present to this moment, and gradually learned how to move forward or backward along with these threads, constantly searching for a future in which he had already achieved success...

That's how he discovered the true threat: the end of everything. The mass extinction that awaits Runeterra.

Effectively, Zilean is now everywhere, all the time. Even so, he knows all too well the consequences of altering the world and precipitating other, unintended destinies—often contradictory, and always more dangerous.

Perhaps if he could find a way to save his people, then this great disaster could be averted.

The only question is, what sacrifices is he willing to make in the process?
